2022 Cadillac XT6
With the Cadillac XT6, you get a midsize SUV with Escalade-like luxury in a tighter, more affordable package. It's the third and largest of the company's crossover XT series, which includes the XT4 and XT5. See whether the all-new 2022 XT6 has what you're looking for.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
As with the other models in the XT line, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 is available in three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The base Luxury trim comes with 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in a Bright Silver finish. The higher-level models come standard with 20-inch wheels but are upgradeable to 21 inches. Both the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims have Galvano exterior accents on the grille, roof rails, side windows, and door handles, while the Sport's exterior accents are gloss black.
The exterior dimensions of the 2022 XT6 measure 198.5 inches in overall length, 77.3 inches in width, and 69.9 inches in height without a luggage rack. This places the vehicle about on par in its class in terms of size.
Engine (Power)
The base Luxury trim comes standard with a 2-liter turbocharged I4 dual overhead cam engine with direct injection, automatic stop/start, and variable valve timing. The Premium Luxury and Sport models pack a more robust 3.6-liter V-6. The 2-liter turbo produces 235 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque, whereas the V-6 generates 310 and 271, respectively.
Performance
Each trim level is available in either front- or all-wheel drive, and both engine types pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Luxury and Premium Luxury trims of the 2022 XT6 focus more on providing a comfortable ride, while the Sport trim offers performance-oriented features such as a performance suspension with a driver mode selector. Given its size, the XT6 handles with impressive agility.
The fuel economy of the vehicle depends on your engine and drivetrain options. The 2-liter turbo gets an EPA-estimated 21 miles per gallon in both front- and all-wheel drive. On the highway, it's 27 and 26 miles per gallon, respectively. If you have the V-6 under the hood, the expected miles per gallon are 19 and 26 for front-wheel drive, 18 and 25 for all-wheel drive.
Interior
With a passenger space of 149.9 cubic feet and three rows of seating, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 is capable of seating seven people, though the two higher trim levels include an option for second-row captain's chairs. The front and second rows provide ample legroom at 41.2 and 39.1 inches, respectively, but the third row, at 29.5 inches, is likely to be a tight fit for most. Cargo space measures 12.6 cubic feet with both rear rows up. With them down, you get 78.7.
An 8-inch diagonal touch screen is standard at all trim levels, compatible with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and the Cadillac user experience system. The Premium Luxury and Sport levels allow you to upgrade the system to include embedded navigation.
Safety Features
Similar to the other models in the XT series, the 2022 XT6 includes several standard safety and driver-assistance features. These include a teen driver system, an HD rear-vision camera, front and rear park assist, and two years of OnStar Safety & Security. With the two higher-level trims, you can add features like adaptive cruise control, HD surround vision, night vision, and a heads-up display.
